Athletic Hall of Fame
The Class of 2006 in Incarnate Word's Athletic Hall of Fame gathered after their inductions with UIW Athletic Director Mark Papich. The featured four were (L to R) Dr. Bud Curtis, Tim Chestney, Papich, Brooke Hopkins Reece, and Javier Ruiz.
Former Spurs great Mike Mitchell served as an honoray co-chairman for the 2006 edition of the UIW Hall of Fame / Celebrity Golf Classic.
This was a moment from the 2005 UIW Hall of Fame / Celebrity Classic to be savored. NBA Hall of Fame member George Gervin and future NBA Hall of Fame member David Robinson paused during the action for a photograph.
The 2006 UIW Hall of Fame / Celebrity Classic honorary co-chairman, and former New York Mets world champion Jerry Grote (right) did some glad-handing before the tournament began with former Spurs player Coby Dietrick.
