Welcome to the home of the University of the Incarnate Word Athletics. This site contains information about all sports offered at the university as well as information about the coaches, the staff, the UIW Athletic Hall of Fame, camps, facilities and links of interest to sports fans.

With the recent announcements of football and men's swimming, the University of the Incarnate Word in San Antonio offers nine men's and 10 women's sports. The Cardinals are members of the NCAA Division II. Incarnate Word also competes as a charter member of the Heartland Conference. All UIW teams are eligible for post-season competition in Division II, some through conference championships and others with an at-large berth.

UIW GETS ROAD WIN AGAINST RANKED SQUAD Incarnate Word drew a difficult assignment to begin three straight road games, a series that will get the Cardinals into the New Year, and UIW served notice with the 72-63 victory at Angelo State.
