Cardinals Eliminated from Conference Tourney The 2008 Incarnate Word Cardinal softball season came to a close when UIW dropped two games in the Heartland Conference Championship Tournament. The Cardinals first lost a 3-1 decision to tournament favorite St. Mary’s and moved into the loser’s bracket and faced St. Edward’s for the second time in two days.
