Cardinal Camp 2008 is a two-day long camp sponsored by the Student Center and Leadership Activities Office and First Year Engagement conducted the week before fall classes begin in order to introduce new students to academic and campus life, first-year issues, and new friends.  Cardinal Camp is replacing the past Leadership Institute and will promote school spirit and retention of our new students.  The camp starts off Thursday, August 21 with events such as Meet your First Year Mentor, Meet your Academic Schools, and University 101. The fun continues on Friday, August 22 with a Cardinal Kickoff (pep rally), informational sessions and activities, and plenty of teambuilding.  Lunch and snacks will be provided, as well as a camp T-shirt and other giveaways.  Be a part of this new UIW tradition!

2 Days of Fun - Cardinal Camp 2008

Day 1 - August 21 9 a.m. - Registration & Meet Your Mentor First Year Students will have the opportunity to meet their mentors and other students in their teams in a variety of activities to kick off Cardinal Camp. 10:30 a.m. - Meet Your School/College Students will join other peers in their school/college to meet faculty. 12:30 p.m. - Lunch Provided 1:30 - 5 p.m. - Meet Your University Find out what you need to succeed at UIW. Learn about a variety of services that will begin the road to success.

Day 2 - August 22 9 a.m. - Check-in & Time with Your Mentor 10:30 a.m. - Live the Mission Enjoy skits starring UIW students about the joys and issues concerning life at UIW. 11:45 a.m. - Lunch Provided 12:45 p.m. - Cardinal Chaos UIW’s largest icebreaker! 1:30 - 5 p.m. - Campus Life 5 p.m. - Cardinal Kickoff A Cardinal Camp Pep Rally designed to   get you off on the right foot.
