Entrance Counseling is required for all students who choose to borrow Federal loans at UIW.

The links below will take you to the appropriate sites for completing Stafford Loan Entrance Counseling (undergraduate students only), or Combined Stafford and PLUS Counseling (graduate students only).

This is the same website you will use to sign your Master Promissory Note (MPN) for a Direct Stafford or Direct PLUS loan.  You will need to create a new FSA ID if you have not created one previously. Create or retrieve your FSA ID at http://www.fsaid.ed.gov. For a step by step on how to create an FSA ID, click here.

Make sure you list the University of the Incarnate Word as one of the schools who should receive your results. We will not require a signed copy of the electronic confirmation. You should keep a copy of the confirmation for your own records.

Graduate students are required to complete the Combined Stafford and PLUS Loan Entrance Counseling.
