STARS 2017-2018 Scholarship - Open to students who have completed 12 undergraduate credit hours or who will have completed high school graduation by Fall 2017, and who are U.S. Citizens or permanent residents, and who are residents of south or west Texas. Deadline online by 5:00pm, or postmarked, by March 31, 2017.

Assistance League of San Antonio Scholarship Application - Open to full-time students who are entering their junior/senior year. Deadline March 31, 2017.

2017-2018 Endowed Scholarship Application - Open to returning students with a cumulative GPA of 3.6+, or a high school student who meets the Academic Scholarship criteria established by the UIW Office of Admissions. Deadline 5:00pm on April 21, 2017.

**NEW** 2017-2018 Pat & Dorothy Legan Scholarship - Open to full-time undergraduate students or graduating high school seniors who will enroll full-time. Must complete the 2017-2018 Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA). Deadline 5:00pm on April 21, 2017.

San Antonio Livestock Exposition (S.A.L.E.) Scholarship Application - Open to incoming first-time freshmen, or students entering their junior year at UIW; must be enrolled full-time in degree-seeking coursework, be a U.S. Citizen, be a resident of Texas, be a graduate of a Texas high school (public, private, or homeschooled) on or after May 2017 (May 2015 for junior students), be studying in a S.A.L.E. approved major (see application for list of eligible majors), and have a cumulative GPA of 2.8+. Deadline 5:00pm on Friday, June 30, 2017.

  • STARS 2017-2018 Scholarship - Open to students who have completed 12 undergraduate credit hours or who will have completed high school graduation by Fall 2017, and who are U.S. Citizens or permanent residents, and who are residents of south or west Texas.   • Stephen P. Taylor Scholarship Fund - Student must be an employee of the Federal Aviation Administration with preference going to those students who live or work in the states of Texas, Arkansas, Louisiana, Oklahoma, or New Mexico. Must demonstrate financial need. Deadline March 31, 2017.
  • Abrazo/Mitchard Birthmother Scholarship - Student must be a birthmother who has placed her child for adoption through Abrazo Adoption Associates; has a high school diploma or GED and has been accepted to attend an accredited college, university or technical school. Deadline March 31, 2017.
  • Ben and Ida Alexander Memorial Scholarship - Student must be a graduating high school senior of Cotulla ISD and/or a resident of LaSalle County. Deadline March 31, 2017.
  • Stuart Baxter Memorial Scholarship - Student must be a graduating high school senior of Boerne ISD or Health Careers High School; have the following qualities: respect for all persons, leadership ability, family devotion, community service, and academic excellence; and be unable to attend college without financial assistance (of secondary importance). Stuart exemplified respect for all persons, devotion to family, community service, leadership ability and academic excellence. We seek applicants who exemplify this same character. Deadline March 31, 2017.
  • Refugee Scholarship Fund - Student must be a Bexar County resident; be a naturalized U.S. citizen or eligible noncitizen that is or has been a Refugees (defined below); pursuing any degree or certification at any Texas two- or four-year college, university or vocational/technical school. Refugee – someone who owing to a well-founded fear of being persecuted for reasons of race, religion, nationality, membership of a particular social group or political opinion, is outside the country of his nationality, and is unable to, or owing to such fear, is unwilling to avail himself of the protection of that country. Naturalized U.S. citizen – a foreign citizen or national who is granted U.S. citizenship after he or she fulfills the requirements established by Congress in the Immigration and Nationality Act i.e., naturalization process. Eligible Noncitizen – a U.S. permanent resident, i.e. someone who holds a permanent resident card, a conditional permanent resident, or other eligible noncitizen with an arrival-departure record from the Dept. of Homeland Security showing a designation of Refugee, Asylum, Granted, Indefinite Parole, Humanitarian Parole, or Cuban-Haitian Entrant, or A citizen of the Republic of Palau, the Republic of the Marshall Island, or the Federated States of Micronesia. Deadline March 31, 2017.
  • World Affairs Council of San Antonio Scholarship Fund - Student must be a freshman, sophomore or junior at a Bexar County college or university (must be at least a college or university freshman to apply); graduate from a Bexar County high school; and has achieved and maintained a 3.0 GPA or B-level average.  Student must be preparing for an international major or degree, or studying modern languages. Deadline March 31, 2017.
  • Dr. Herbert E. Harper, Jr. Memorial Scholarship Fund - Student must be an agent, employee, child(ren), stepchild(ren), or grandchildren of agents or employees of Coldwell Banker D'Ann Harper Realtors and demonstrate a compelling reason on why the student would like to further their education. Deadline March 31, 2017.
  • Dr. Herbert E. Harper, Jr. Memorial Summer Program Scholarship Fund - Student must be an agent, employee, child(ren), stepchild(ren), or grandchildren of agents or employees of Coldwell Banker D'Ann Harper Realtors; are enrolled in a summer school program or summer abroad program through a United States educational institution; and demonstrate a compelling reason on why the student would like to further their education. Deadline March 31, 2017.
  • Blue Bird Auxiliary Scholarship (Scholarship B) - Student must be an active volunteer (Blue J/Blue Bird) at the Methodist Hospitals Medical Center (Methodist Hospital Campus, Methodist Specialty and Transplant Hospital or Methodist Texsan Hospital) for a minimum of 350 hours; be a citizen of the United States; has received a high school diploma; achieved an overall 3.1 GPA; has been accepted for study to an accredited college or university in the United States for a degree in either Nursing or Physician’s Assistant and must provide proof of such.  Student must attend school on a full-time basis. Deadline March 31, 2017.
  • Walk by Faith Scholarship - Student must have an average GPA of 2.5 or higher, demonstrate that they are active in a Christian fellowship (by essay and letter of recommendation from a leader in the fellowship); are active volunteers in the community and have a desire to return to the West Side of San Antonio upon graduating from college/university/vocational school. Preference will go to students who live on the West Side of San Antonio or have graduated or will graduate from a high school on the West Side of San Antonio. Deadline March 31, 2017.

April 2017:

  • Duncan Scholars Program Scholarship Fund - Eligible applicants must be children (eligible to be covered by Enterprise Products Company benefits) of an Enterprise Products Company employee or of a Dixie Pipeline employee who have at least three years of employment service by the date the scholarship application closes. Applicants must have a minimum 2.5 GPA in high school or a 2.5 GPA in the prior two academic college semesters.  Applicants will be scored based upon multiple factors, including financial need, academic performance and community service. Students must be attending a nonprofit, accredited institution in the United States. Applicants who do not receive an award in any given year are eligible to re-apply in the following year.  Awards may be renewed for up to 8 semesters toward an undergraduate program. Deadline April 15, 2017.
  • 2017-2018 Endowed Scholarship Application - Open to returning students with a cumulative GPA of 3.6+, or a high school student who meets the Academic Scholarship criteria established by the UIW Office of Admissions. Deadline 5:00pm on April 21, 2017.

  • Texas Burn Survivor Society 2017 Scholarship - Open to students who have a total body surface area burn percentage of 5% or over, who have obtained a high school diploma or GED, who will pursue a degree or certificate in a specific vocation, at an accredited institution of higher learning, and who are residents of Bexar or surrounding counties (Atascosa, Bandera, Comal, Guadalupe, Kendall, Medina, or Wilson). Deadline April 28, 2017.
  • 2017 Dr. Alma S. Adams Scholarship for Outreach and Health Communications to Reduce Tobacco Use Among Priority Populations - Open to students with a cumulative GPA of 2.0+ in the most recent academic year.   • Blue Bird Auxiliary Scholarship (Scholarship A) - Student must be an active volunteer (Blue J/Blue Bird) at the Methodist Hospitals Medical Center (Methodist Hospital Campus, Methodist Specialty and Transplant Hospital or Methodist Texsan Hospital) for a minimum of 350 hours; be a citizen of the United States; have received a degree from an accredited college or university well qualified in a specific medical discipline; achieved an overall 3.1 GPA; have been accepted for study to an accredited college or university in the United States for an advanced degree in either Medical Doctor (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathy (DO) and must provide proof of such.  Student must attend school on a full-time basis. Deadline March 31, 2017.

April 2017:
