University of the Incarnate Word Campus
Incarnate Word’s 154-acre campus is just minutes from downtown San
Antonio in Alamo Heights. The Alamo Heights area is filled with a variety
of tourist attractions including the Witte Museum, the McNay Art Museum,
the San Antonio Botanical Gardens, and Brackenridge Park. Brackenridge
Park is home to the San Antonio Zoo and the Japanese Tea Gardens, and is
filled
with trails and other scenic areas to run, walk, or just enjoy an
afternoon picnic or barbeque. In addition to being located in one of the
most picturesque parts of the city, UIW’s welltended grounds, trees,
blooming flowers, and classic architecture, provide a comfortable environment
to study, think, and just hang out with friends.
Students can enjoy a meal with new friends at one of UIW’s four great on-campus dining locations. Marian Hall Café, Hortencia’s Café, Java on the Hill, and Finnegan’s Coffee Shop feature a wide variety of hot meals, pizza, soups, sandwiches, desserts, and even Chick-Fil-A and Starbucks Coffee. Students can use cash, credit cards, or even purchase a meal plan that can be used at any of the on-campus dining locations.
UIW has eight student dormitories featuring single, double and triple living accommodations. The residence halls and apartments are an excellent place to meet new friends, participate in activities, develop new interests, and learn to live and grow in a community rich in diversity.
Incarnate Word also offers a professional staff of administrators, graduate hall advisors, and resident assistants available 24 hours a day. All campus residences are wired for the internet and provide basic cable and telephone service. Campus police are available 24/7 to ensure your living experience is a safe one. Our goal is to provide our students the most enjoyable and comfortable living experience possible.
