Student Employment

Student Employment is now online! UIW students may apply online for any available posting. Working as a student employee is an excellent way to make money while attending classes, as well as gaining valuable work experience.

Students may work up to 30 hours a week while classes are in session; if you are an International Student on an F-1 or J-1 Visa, you may only work 20 hours a week. During school breaks, all students may work up to 40 hours a week. Please keep checking to the website for available job postings, as it will be constantly updated.

How to Apply:

• Visit our employment website at http://jobs.uiw.edu and click on “student”.
  
• Look through the available postings and click on “apply to” for each position in which you would like to be considered for.
  
• Keep in mind that some positions may require a resume to be attached. If you need assistance with writing or updating a resume, you may contact Career Services.
  
• If your application is selected, you will be called in for an interview with the supervisor for that position.
  
• Once you have been hired, you must visit Human Resources to complete paperwork.
  
• *Please note: Some positions on campus, such as being a Resident Assistant (RA) have their own unique system to hire students. If you are interested in becoming an RA, contact Residence Life at 210-829-6034.
