Quiet Study Areas

  • On the first floor, the quiet areas are in the stacks.
  • On the second floor, the quiet areas are in the bound journals area.

Group Study Rooms

  • Most of the group study rooms are located on the second floor of the library in the area behind the elevator. Another two are located in the Media Center on the ground floor.
  • Check out keys to these rooms at the Circulation Desk.
  • The study rooms can be used for two hours at a time by two or more people.
  • When the group study rooms are full, check out a pager that puts you in line for the next available group study room.  

Practice Delivering Your Presentation

  • To practice presentations there are six group study rooms, second floor rooms 234, 235, 236, 237 and Media Center G 29 and G31 that have flat screen displays that can be connected to a laptop.

Graduate Computer Rooms

  • Rooms 103, 105 and 233 are available for individual, quiet research and writing.  Each room has a table for individual quiet study and computers loaded with the statistical package SPSS, the qualitative analysis software QRS NVivo and Adobe Acrobat. Microsoft Office is also on the machines.  Room 233 is available for doctoral students only. Others can be used by any graduate student.
