Each institute presents workshops aimed squarely at the needs of graduate and professional students to succeed and excel in their academic program and career. Taught by faculty and staff of the University of the Incarnate Word, all workshops are presented on Saturdays. Refreshments and light morning snacks are provided.

—Workshop: Conciseness: Getting to the Point 10:30 a.m. – Noon 

Strategies for producing skillfully succinct, polished, & professional academic papers for class &publication.

APA professionals offer a thorough review of the nuts & bolts of APA style requirements.

—Workshop: How to Conduct & Write a Literature Review 10:30 a.m. – Noon

Professional guidance on searching the literature and building good databases of authors & titles, followed by expert advice on the literature review structure, purpose & composition process.

—Workshop: How to Conduct a Literature Review Search 12:30 p.m. – 2:00 p.m.

This process of working on a literature review for a class project or paper can be overwhelming. Learn to manage resources and discover how to search for literature appropriate to your subject area.

Degree in hand—where and how do you go? Professional seasoned practices for the job search, for interviewing, & resume drafting.
