Dr. Jacqueline Nolen joins the Feik School of Pharmacy as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Pharmacy Practice. Dr. Nolen graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy from the University of Wisconsin-Madison and a Doctor of Pharmacy degree from the University of Minnesota.  She completed a specialty residency in nephrology at Hennepin County Medical Center in Minneapolis, MN followed by a two-year clinical research fellowship at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.

After her fellowship training, Dr. Nolen joined the faculty at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill where she taught courses in nephrology and participated in several clinical research studies in the area of chronic kidney disease. After leaving the University of North Carolina Dr. Nolen gained extensive experience in the biotechnology industry in a variety of positions involving clinical research, medical communications, and sales and marketing.  

Dr. Nolen serves as the course director for Renal Disorders & Electrolytes/Fluids and teaches in a variety of other pharmacy courses.  She is establishing her clinical practice site in the Therapeutic Drug Monitoring (TDM) Clinic at the V.A. in San Antonio.  In addition, her research interests include chronic kidney disease, diabetes, and childhood obesity. Dr. Nolen is a member of several professional organizations including the American College of Clinical Pharmacy (ACCP), the National Kidney Foundation (NKF) and the American Society of Nephrology (ASN).
