Feik School of Pharmacy

Pharm. D Admissions

Science LabThe program, is a 2 + 4 program of study leading to a Pharm. D. degree.  This means that the successful applicant will have completed a minimum of two years of preprofessional studies.  The required course outline can be found in the Pre-Pharmacy information on this site.

After completion of the pre-Pharmacy core, students will be minimally prepared to start the professional core.  Students who have already completed a four-year degree are also eligible and encouraged to apply for admission.  They must also complete the science courses to be eligible for consideration.

Credits for pharmacy professional coursework from any program outside of UIW are not accepted toward the Pharm.D. degree. The Feik School of Pharmacy is offered in a modified block format that assimilates pharmaceutical and basic sciences into a unique mosaic. Although this curriculum results in studies that cover the standard outcomes and much more, the pattern is not easily comparable to other schools. Therefore, at this point, there are no advance standing admission opportunities for applicants who have not matriculated in the Feik School of Pharmacy. This issue will be revisited periodically to determine if the current position remains the most productive for the school.
