UIW Student Society of Health-System Pharmacists Receives Grant!
Congratulations to UIW Student Society of Health-System Pharmacists for recieving the 2009 Student Society Development Grant. Only 9 chapters received the grant for 2009 - 2010!
The ASHP Student Society Development Grant Program is intended to encourage the development of student societies of health-system pharmacy (SSHPs) in colleges of pharmacy throughout the United States.

Phi Lambda Sigma Chartered at UIW
Phi Lambda Sigma, the Pharmacy Leadership Society, had its Charter Initiation on April 3, 2009, with May Woo, President of Phi Lambda Sigma, presiding. The purpose of Phi Lambda Sigma is to promote the development of leadership qualities, especially among pharmacy students. The Society encourages participation in all pharmacy activities, by having peers recognize the leaders within the FSOP and support their application to PLS. Eleven student members, three faculty and three community supporters formed the Charter Membership of the Gamma Xi Chapter of Phi Lambda Sigma.

KAPPA PSI Chartered at FSOP
Kappa Psi Pharmaceutical Fraternity, Inc. is the oldest and largest professional pharmacy fraternity. In April 2008, Epsilon Beta at the Feik School of Pharmacywas chartered as the 71st collegiate chapter of Kappa Psi. There are Kappa Psi chapters in over 75% of pharmacy school across the US and Canada. Our goals are to promote the field of pharmacy and collegial relationships through professional projects, community service and the benefits of fraternal affiliation.
