Student Center Manager
Reports to Assistant Director of Leadership Activities
Responsibilities
- Selection and training of Representatives
- Assists in selection and training of supervisors
- Holds staff and management team meetings as necessary
- Assists in the revision of handbook, policies, and procedures
- Oversees the administration of surveys
- Investigates cash discrepancies
- Inspects building and equipment for maintenance needs
- Places inventory orders
- Coaches, counsels, and evaluates supervisors and representatives on job duties, customer service and professionalism
- Provides supervisors and representatives with tools and information needed to perform job adequately
- Ensures that the Student Center provides and atmosphere supportive of the mission of the University of the Incarnate Word

Responsibilities
- Perform duties of representatives as well as:
- Provide on-the-job training to representatives
Operations Supervisor
- Balance the register journal to the cash on hand
- Replenish the change machine
- Inform Manager of inventory needed
- meet with VIA associate to obtain bus passes and provide our money collection
- Inform manager of maintenace needs
- meet with Video vendor and collect our profits
- inform manager of maintenace needs
- Ensure the proper maintenance of bulletin board items
- Restock first aid kit when necessary
- Ensure refunds are received in a timely manner
Personnel Supervisor
- Develop and issue work schedules
- Gather and inspect time sheets
- Approve schedule changes
- Oversee the recognition program
- Ensure new members receive all necessary orientation materials
- Ensure administrative paperwork is handled in a timely manner
Reservations & Events Supervisor
- Update the "This Week at the Word" calendar and electronic message board
- Maintain an events calendar for representatives' use by gathering information from various campus sources
- Assist vendors, student organization, campus offices and employers with Student Center reservations (including table, lounge, television, conference room, Administration Building, display case and patio)
- Coordinate with media and special events to obtain equipment needed for reservations
- Coordinate Student Center events (i.e., tournaments)
Customer Service Representatives
Customer Service Representative Application SCRep2011
Report to Supervisors
- Assist customers with questions, directions, information, and purchases
- Properly handle cash and check transactions
- Take room counts as directed
- Assist in the administration of surveys
- Assist in setting up furniture and equipment for events
- Ensure that all areas of the Student Center are clear of trash
- Review bulletin boards for items that have expired or are not stamped with approval
- Ensure that items are not placed in areas that are not allowed (Example: fliers should not be taped to doors)
- Monitor game room to ensure equipment is being used for intended purposes and that it is not being abused (Example: Pools sticks should only be used to play pool and not twirled like a baton)
- Perform other duties as assigned by the Manager, Supervisors, or Assistant Director of Leadership Activities
