The UIW chapter of this worldwide organization unites students in a call for justice. The group aims to raise awareness about human rights issues around the world, provide a forum for discussion and encourage student action.

Children Are Reason Enough (C.A.R.E.)
A student organization dedicated to the well-being of children in the San Antonio community. A few events include school visits, "learning days", and school festivials for unprivledged children. Not just for Education majors.

Logos Newspaper
UIW's student newspaper is published several times during the fall and spring semesters. The mainly volunteer staff keeps the university informed with coverage of current events and university-related issues. Reporters, photographers, graphic artists and layout designers are invited year-round to contribute their expertise.
Meteorology Club
This organization promotes the field of meteorology on the UIW campus and gives students interested in the learning about weather a chance to network with other students and professionials.

This Debate Society is an exciting addition to the student organization listing at UIW. The students involved in this club debate interesting topics and research the current issues that pertain to the student population, city, and country.
Quirk
This literary publication is produced by UIW students who are interested in the publishing process from start to finish. Students pick a theme for the book, send out a call for manuscripts, then evaluate, select and publish a variety of poems, short stories and photographs. Finally, students market, publicize and sell copies of Quirk to the community.
Red Cross Club INACTIVE
This group of students participates in a variety of community service events in conjunction with the local Red Cross Chapter. Members work in blood drives and other programs within the San Antonio community.
Society of Success and Leadership
The Society of Success and Leadership (Sigma Alpha Lambda) is a national society dedicated to helping college students create the lives they desire by helping them discover what they trly want to do, and giving them the support, motivation, and tools to achieve their goals. People do not just become successful by accident; it takes planning and motivation to achieve personal goals. A local chapter is also available.

The SVA's mission is to serve as advocates for teh student veterans and families of UIW by providing essential information and guidance that aids in student success, spiritual growth in God, and enduring bonds that last a lifetime.

Students Teaching & Advocating for Responsible Self-Growth (STARS)
Do you care about other people? Are you interested in health issues? Then you may be a good candidate for this group of peer educators. All members are trained in active listening and health and safety issues. Once trained, they offer fellow students guidance and support. Members attend related conferences and host events such as World AIDS Day, Sober Roads drug & alcohol prevention program and the Wellness Fair. All majors are welcome.
