Dr. Angela McPherson Williams - Director,
Student Center and Leadership Activities

Dr. McPherson Williams is from Omaha, Nebraska. She has earned degrees from the University of the Incarnate Word, the University of Nebraska-Lincoln, and the University of Illinois (Champaign - Urbana).

Dr. Mac has more than seventeen years of experience in higher education. She is a wife and mother, a member of the New Covenant Missionary Baptist Church, and a Diamond Life member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Incorporated.

"I am honored and excited to have this opportunity to contribute to the positive and innovative things happening at UIW. As an alumna of the University, what better tribute can I pay to the institution that contributed to my academic growth, than to continue the legacy of excellence, honor and tradition by serving as an administrator?"

Dr. Mac works primarily with the Student Government Association/Senators, Student Organizations, Emerging Leaders, Speakers for Achievement and Success and the Marian Student Center.

Kristin Garcia - Assistant Director for Leadership Activities

Kristin is an Army Brat who has lived throughout the US and Germany, but is proud to call San Antonio home. She received her BBA from the University of Oklahoma where she stayed for an additional three years to work as an Academic Counselor and Assistant Director of Student Life. Kristin joined the team in August 2006 after working in the ADCaP department of UIW. She is currently a student of UIW working on her MAA in Organizational Development and is excited to be a Cardinal.

Kristin is an alumna of Kappa Delta Chi Sorority, Inc. and proud charter member of the OU Sigma Chapter. Her brother and parents currently reside in San Antonio and Kristin cherishes the time she can spend with them and her Westie, Merlot.

Kristin works primarily with the Campus Activities Board, Society of Success and Leadership, Student Organizations, Greek Life, Speakers for Achievement and Success and the Marian Student Center.

Steven Tiffany - Student Center Manager

Steven is a native of San Antonio and a sophomore majoring in Mathematics. He worked for Sea World for three years and served as a Rides Supervisor. As the Student Center Manager, Steven hopes to create a more welcoming and safe environment for the students and community of UIW.

Steven is the Treasurer of the Student Government Association and member of Chi Phi Fraternity. He hopes to be a teacher one day for secondary or college education.

Denise Taylor - Greek Life Coordinator

Denise has lived her whole life in San Antonio, Texas.  She has earned her degrees from the University of the Incarnate Word and is working on her MS in Mathematics.  She hopes to attain her Ph.D. in Econometrics and Statistics

Denise is an alumna of Alpha Sigma Alpha Sorority, Inc. and volunteers for District 7.  She is a mother to two children and takes great pleasure in spending time with them.

“As the Greek Life Coordinator, I have a great opportunity to work with all the Greek organizations on campus.  Although, stereotypes of Greeks exist, those do not reflect the Greek Life at UIW.  Please take an opportunity to visit with various Greek organizations on campus and Go Greek!”
