April Marie Taylor (b. 1981, San Antonio, Texas) is a Mexican-American photographer who specializes in documentary photography. Raised on the Southside of San Antonio, her work assesses the cultural identity within her community – concentrating on developing the narratives between the people who share their spaces with her and with one another. In 2013 she earned her Master of Fine Arts degree at Texas A&M University-Corpus Christi with an emphasis in photography. Taylor is currently an adjunct instructor at the University of the Incarnate Word. She continues to photograph the relationships between the people within her family and her community; showing the many facets of her culture. Her work has been included in both group and solo exhibits, including juried, and continues to be collected by discerning clients.
