Undergraduate Certificates
Why Earn A Certificate?
A certificate is a valuable addition to any undergraduate degree program and recognizes extensive study and proficiency in a field of study outside of a student’s major. Additional undergraduate certificates may be offered in future semesters. Refer to the UIW Catalogue.
Religious Studies
The Religious Studies Undergraduate Certificate supports and augments a student’s academic work across disciplines. As a Catholic institution, UIW welcomes students of all backgrounds and with diverse career aspirations to continue their Religious Studies education beyond the classes required in the core curriculum or of their major. Students pursuing careers in the health professions, business, education, sciences, humanities, and communications are particularly well suited for further study in Religion.
The certificate will be awarded to students who complete 18 semester hours of Religious Studies coursework, including RELS 1345, RELS 2320 or RELS 2350 and RELS 3345.
