The Bachelor of Business Administration in Sport Management at the H-E-B School of Business and Administration prepares students for positions of leadership in professional sport franchises, collegiate athletics and nonprofit sport organizations.
Why Sport Management?
Students choose the BBA in Sport Management program because it provides the opportunity to work in a management, executive or academic setting in the exciting world of sports. The program develops competencies related to working in nonprofit foundations as well as various community outreach programs and other nonprofit amateur sports organizations.
Students in the Sport Management program develops a deep understanding of the sophisticated aspects of the business of sport and its many facets, including marketing and communications, consumer research, organizational management and facilities management.
Sport Management Curriculum
The BBA in Sport Management is a 120-hour degree focused on the business of the sport industry. It prepares professionals to be leaders and managers who work collaboratively within sport organizations.
The program extends the business core concepts into the sport industry. Students learn the current practices of sport organizations used to build effective organizations, engage participants and compete in diverse sport contexts.
