Part 1: Kathy and Lionel Sosa shared their inside perspectives on the terrific documentary and art exhibit Al Otro Lado del Espejo, helping us understand the significance of San Antonio's missions, the relationship between San Antonio and Santiago de Querétaro, a city in central Mexico, and the blended cultures and identities that have shaped who we are in South Texas. Excerpts from the documentary, photos of the exhibit, and the Sosas’ art were shown and discussed.

Part 2: Revolucionarias and mestizaje in our Texas-Mexico borderlands: In celebration of Women’s History Month, Kathy Sosa spoke about the revolutionaries who helped lead the journey of change in and around the border and who embodied the cultural mestizaje that has defined and influenced her work, as discussed and represented in Revolutionary Women of Texas and Mexico and her more recently publishedMestizaje.
