Subpoenas and Depositions on Written Questions

Subpoenas and DWQ's should be sent directly to the OGC. If you are a UIW employee and received a Subpoena from an outside source directed to UIW, please notify the OGC immediately by emailing eoperez@uiwtx.edu.

If you are an attorney, records retrieval service, or court clerk attempting to serve a subpoena, please mail it to:

University of the Incarnate Word
Attn: Office of General Counsel
4301 Broadway St.
CPO 102
San Antonio, Texas 78209

The OGC will contact you upon receipt regarding next steps. Please note, the OGC does not accept service of subpoenas electronically or through this website.

Custodian of Records Fees

When submitting your request, please clarify the departments in which you seek records, as there is a Custodian of Records for each department.

The University currently charges $110.00 per Custodian plus $1.00 per page for all records with the exception of health or medical records. Fees for health or medical records are charged in accordance with the requirements set forth in the Texas Health and Safety Code.

You will be contacted prior to receiving records of any costs associated with your request as well as payment instructions.
