VIVID Cyber Competition: Spring 2024 Application Now Open for CAE Students!

The Virtual Internship and Varied Innovative Demonstrations (VIVID) Coalition, comprising the University of Alabama in Huntsville, Augusta University, University of Arizona, and Florida International University, extends an invitation to college students for the VIVID Competition Spring 2024. Teams of five, from the same CAE school, have the opportunity to compete, with multiple teams from the same college or university allowed. Register all team members simultaneously on the provided form. The application deadline is Jan. 31, and selected teams will be notified promptly.

  • Team registration deadline: Jan. 31, 2024 (accepted teams will be notified on this day)
  • Virtual competition: March 11-14, 2024

Competition phases

  • The top 15 teams from the virtual March event will proceed to the live event.
  • Live event at the CAE Annual Colloquium in October 2024.

Team information

  • All five team members must be from the same CAE school.
  • Multiple teams from the same college or university are allowed.

COST

  • Free registration for all participating teams.
  • Travel stipends provided to offset live event travel costs.

This virtual competition aims to bridge the gap between academic learning and cybersecurity practice, fostering competency in a work role or job. Participants also have the chance to earn as they learn, contributing to a unique and enriching experience.

The initial phase, a virtual event, is scheduled from March 11-14. The top 15 teams will advance to the live event, continuing the competition at the CAE Annual Colloquium in October 2024. Teams participating in the live event will receive travel stipends to offset costs.
