Student Services in Higher Education
Advance your career in higher education and support students
The Student Services in the Higher Education concentration is designed to prepare students to launch or advance careers at the college or university level. Graduate students work to develop knowledge, skills, and leadership qualities necessary to support their success through campus services such as advising, admissions and enrollment management, and leadership development.
The curriculum is designed to enhance understanding of college student diversity, related legal issues and the overall dynamic nature of higher education. Student learning outcomes for this concentration are benchmarked against standards established by the Student Affairs Administrators in Higher Education (NASPA) and the Council for the Advancement of Standards (CAS) in Higher Education.

Degree plans for a master's degree with a concentration in Student Services in Higher Education:
The Master of Arts degree requires completion of 36 semester hours of coursework, 24 of which must be in education. The degree is appropriate for students applying coursework not designated as an education course.
