UIW posts record enrollment

San Antonio – UIW has set another enrollment record. The university’s global enrollment reached 9,940 students, a 3.6 percent increase from last year. The enrollment has now increased 28 out of the last 29 years, and has nearly tripled from the year 2000.

“We continue to be one of the fastest growing and most diverse universities in the state by offering innovative academic programs,” said UIW President Dr. Lou Agnese.  “Our continued growth shows the UIW brand is becoming better known each year, not just in South Texas but throughout the country and internationally.”

UIW now offers 80 undergraduate, graduate and professional programs, an increase from the 56 that were offered in 1985.
