A Statement from the University of the Incarnate Word

San Antonio - University of the Incarnate Word officials gathered with representatives from other Congregational ministries on campus Wednesday to review the circumstances following Tuesday night’s and early Wednesday morning’s unsubstantiated reports of an armed individual on campus.

Administrators discussed next steps in improving communication with the university community and decreasing delays.

The University would like to thank area police agencies who responded quickly to search and secure the campus ensuring there was no actual threat to our community. The University also thanks all faculty, staff and administrators who responded to ensure the safety of our community.
