UIW Welcomes Texas Academy of Science
The University of the Incarnate Word (UIW) School of Math, Science & Engineering welcomes the 118th Annual Meeting of the Texas Academy of Science, March 6-8, 2015. More than 600 scientists are scheduled to attend the meeting taking place on the university campus. In addition to the 250 oral and poster presentations of their scientific research, attendees will also name the Texas Distinguished Scientist and an Outstanding Texas Educator. Meeting highlights include a professional development session for scientists, a recruitment session for graduate and professional schools, as well as a panel discussion for students.
Scientific vendors will also be on-hand to provide information on their products and services. The annual meeting will culminate with an awards banquet Saturday, March 7 in UIW’s McCombs Center Rosenberg Sky Room. On Sunday morning, attendees will have an opportunity to tour the Headwaters Sanctuary, UIW’s Solar House, and Broadcast Meteorology facilities.
