UIW Pharmacy Program Ranked Among Tops In Nation in Online Rankings
Median Salary Deciding Factor in New Report
San Antonio – The University of the Incarnate Word (UIW) Feik School of Pharmacy has been ranked No. 2 in the nation by the online publication GradReports.com. The rankings are based on the median salary graduates have reported one year after leaving their respective programs.
“I am proud that the Feik School of Pharmacy was recognized as one of the best pharmacy schools in the nation,” says Dean Dr. David Maize. “Our graduates are highly valued by employers for their professionalism and compassionate patient care which have become an inherent part of them by following the mission of the Sisters of Charity of the Incarnate Word.”
According to the website, UIW Feik School of Pharmacy graduates reported an annual income of $129,500 one year after graduation, the second-highest in the nation. The website also highlighted that the UIW curriculum includes two courses of Spanish for Pharmacists to help students improve their fluency so they can work more effectively with Spanish-speaking populations and that UIW also offers a dual degree that combines PharmD with a Master of Arts in Administration.
The website also took into account factors such as tuition and median debt. GradReports rankings are based on data published by the U.S. Department of Education in November 2019.
