UIW Set to Celebrate Spring Class of 2022
Graduates Completed 139,153 Hours of Community Service
San Antonio – University of the Incarnate Word (UIW) President Thomas M. Evans, PhD will confer degrees to 1,090 professional, doctoral, graduate and undergraduate students at the Spring Commencement Ceremony. The event will take place on Saturday, May 7, 2022 during two separate ceremonies starting at 10 a.m. and 2 p.m.
The graduating Spring Class of 2022 completed 139,153 hours of community service, providing an economic impact of $3.9 million. Community service is a pillar of the well-rounded education promised by UIW and it is the hope of our community that the graduates will continue this legacy of service as concerned and enlightened citizens of our world.
The commencement schedule is as follows:
Baccalaureate Mass
- 6 p.m., Friday, May 6; Our Lady’s Chapel – UIW Broadway Campus
Feik School of Pharmacy, Rosenberg School of Optometry, School of Physical Therapy, School of Osteopathic Medicine and the Ila Faye Miller School of Nursing and Health Professions
- 10 a.m., Saturday, May 7, Freeman Coliseum (3201 E. Houston St., San Antonio, TX 78219)
Undergraduate, Graduate and Doctoral Commencement
- 2 p.m., Saturday, May 7; Freeman Coliseum (3201 E. Houston St., San Antonio, TX 78219)
Graduation ceremonies will begin promptly at 10 a.m. and 2 p.m. with the processional beginning 20 minutes before each ceremony. The San Antonio Pipes and Drums will perform processional and recessional music for the commencement. Admission to the Commencement ceremony is by ticket only.
