UIW to Hold Annual Red Dress Fashion Show

Event is free and open to the public

The UIW and San Antonio communities are invited to the Fashion Management program’s annual Red Dress Fashion Show at 11 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 25, in the SEC Ballroom. Fashion Management students, as well as local area high school students, design and create red dresses to raise awareness of women’s heart health. Doors open at 10:45 a.m. The event is free and open to the public.

“We are excited to be hosting the Red Dress Fashion Show this year at the Student Engagement Center,” share Dr. Melinda Adams, full professor and program director of Fashion Management. “While the fashion show is a great way to showcase the talent of UIW fashion students and area high school students, it also raises awareness for heart disease in women. It is important that women listen to and take care of their health. We can’t take care of others it we don’t take care of ourselves.”
