UIW School of Professional Studies Enters New Partnership with the City of Dallas
SAN ANTONIO - July 12,2024- The University of the Incarnate Word (UIW) School of Professional Studies is proud to announce that it has entered a partnership with the City of Dallas. This agreement will ensure that City of Dallas employees and their families will have access to higher education for years to come through UIWSPS programs.
“The City of Dallas and the University of the Incarnate Word are both dedicated to excellence through service, to fostering civic leadership and supporting all to thrive,” said Dr. Thomas M. Evans, UIW president. “We are proud to partner with the City of Dallas to support the continuous education and professional development of their dynamic workforce.”
Partnerships like these are an essential component to the Triple Helix Executive Leadership for Global Competitiveness Model. This model, created by Associate Provost of Strategic Partnerships and Outreach and Dean of the UIW School of Professional Studies, Dr. Osman Özturgut, provides a global perspective on effective leadership practices and emphasizes the importance of collaboration and partnerships. With over two decades of experience in online access, expertise and quality education, the UIW School of Professional Studies continues to lead the way in providing students a path to uplift their lives, their families and their communities.
“The core values of the City of Dallas, including Empathy, Ethics, Excellence, Engagement, and Equity, are closely aligned with the mission of UIW and the endeavors pursued at UIWSPS,” says Özturgut. “Through this collaborative partnership, our collective aim is to make meaningful contributions to workforce development by emphasizing reskilling and upskilling initiatives. Ultimately, we aspire to catalyze elevating communities through sustainable economic development endeavors.”
