The University of the Incarnate Word aspires to be the premier provider of educational opportunities to active duty military members, veterans and their families. UIW will be considered by students, military and veteran education counselors, and the wider military affiliated community to be the first choice for student success.

UIW Libraries Adds More Programs for Veterans Thanks to New Grant
Dede Rios, PhD, director of Optometric and Clinical Library Services for the Rosenberg School of Optometry, received a $3,000 subaward from Texas A&M University’s Libraries and Veterans National Forum.

The annual “Best Of” list from U.S. News & World Report ranked UIW in multiple categories, including No. 51 on the list of Best Online Bachelor’s for Veterans.
UIW Honors Military for Veterans Day
UIW celebrated Veterans Day with several events throughout the week, including the Military Appreciation Football Game, the annual Veterans Day Ceremony and a special Veterans Day Parade.
