A Message from the President

No college or university in the world looks, acts, serves or inspires like the University of the Incarnate Word. Ours is an extraordinary community of faith and education quite unlike any other. We follow in the footsteps of visionary women religious – the Sisters of Charity of the Incarnate Word, who through faith and dedication to their community answered a call and changed San Antonio forever. Today, nearly 150 years later, our university system spans campuses in San Antonio, Mexico City, Irapuato, Strasbourg and globally via online programs. Across all, we remain committed to contributing to the legacy of our founding Sisters and to changing the world for the better.

I invite you to learn more about our exceptional University and how we are moving forward innovatively, strategically and effectively to provide transformative Catholic education that lifts the lives of our students and prepares them for successful lives of purpose.

Praised be the Incarnate Word!
