Ashok Khanal, Ph.D.
Assistant Professor, Chemistry
Ashok Khanal is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Chemistry and Biochemistry. After receiving his BS and MS degree in Chemistry, he served as a Chemistry Department Chair at the National School of Sciences (NIST) in Kathmandu, Nepal. Then he moved to the USA for higher study and received his Ph.D. degree in Chemistry from Michigan Technological University in May 2018. Prior to coming to UIW, he was an Assistant Professor at Finlandia University, Hancock, MI. He is an accomplished chemist with numerous articles in peer-reviewed scientific journals. Overall, his career profile reveals his ability to successfully fulfill the roles of Mentor, Researcher, Laboratory Supervisor, Assistant Professor and the Departmental Chair.
