Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc.
Founded on a mission of five basic tenets that have remained unchanged since the sorority’s inception. Our mission is to cultivate and encourage high scholastic and ethical standards, to promote unity and friendship among college women, to study and help alleviate problems concerning girls and women in order to improve their social stature, to maintain a progressive interest in college life, and to be of “Service to All Mankind.”
Omega Delta Phi, Inc.
The purpose of this Brotherhood, a Service/Social fraternity dedicated to the needs and concerns of the community, is and shall be to promote and maintain the traditional values of Unity, Honesty, Integrity and Leadership. This Brotherhood was founded in order to provide, to ANY man, a diverse fraternal experience that coincides with a higher education.
While other organizations focus on what they have been, Omega Delta Phi focuses on what we are becoming. The men of Omega Delta Phi are founded on the concept that in order to truly grow as an individual, one must experience views which can challenge preconceived perceptions to foster growth and enlightenment. “One Culture, Any Race” is a completely new way of looking at ourselves and the world we live in. A challenge to the closed minded to look beyond what they believe to be true and realize the truth is largely dependent on one’s perspective. “One Culture, Any Race” is a philosophy that suggests the coexistence of various races can be a win-win situation if we are willing to learn from one another. It is an ideal for a new millennium and a new fraternity.
Alpha Sigma Alpha
This is who we are: an organization of sisterhood, heritage, leadership and service. Alpha Sigma Alpha offers an experience of fun campus activities to a lifetime of community impact. By fostering close friendships between members, Alpha Sigma Alpha elevates the influence of women who strive to continue improving the world around them. We inspire women to lead, to serve and, most of all, to make a difference.
Alpha Sigma Tau
Alpha Sigma Tau believes the membership experience is strengthened and enriched when the diverse identities of members are embraced, respected, and celebrated. Alpha Sigma Tau expects members, employees, and volunteers to cultivate inclusive, welcoming, and safe spaces that promote dignity and respect for all members and which are free from bigotry and oppression.
Kappa Sigma
Kappa Sigma is focused upon the Four Pillars of Fellowship, Leadership, Scholarship, and Service. As a values-based men’s fraternity, Kappa Sigma strictly forbids hazing and fosters meaningful college experiences by offering progressive membership development and pledge education.
-
Fellowship
Want to get more from your college experience? Kappa Sigma makes it happen. Joining Kappa Sigma provides opportunities for fellowship, fun, and personal growth that you simply can’t get elsewhere. Over 280,000 men have joined and enjoyed the unmatched experiences, involvement, and lifelong brotherhood that Kappa Sigma offers. There is no secret…our goal is to build better men.
-
Leadership
Take the lead. In Kappa Sigma, brothers learn to get involved in their communities and take the lead when something needs to be done. Countless brothers, including senators, governors and CEOs, have said Kappa Sigma gave them the leadership skills they needed to succeed.
-
Scholarship
You’re in college for an education. From its earliest beginnings in Renaissance Italy, Kappa Sigma has promoted scholarships among its members. Since its inception, over $4.5 million in scholarships have been awarded by the Kappa Sigma Endowment Fund to brothers who excel in academics, campus involvement, and leadership. At the chapter level, brothers help you learn about the campus, provide advice on professors and classes, and help you study for those important assignments.
-
Service
Helping others is part of being a Kappa Sigma. Brothers spend thousands of hours working in their communities and raise thousands of dollars for worthy causes each year. From organizing park clean-ups to serving as Big Brothers to organizing charity rock concerts, Kappa Sigmas work hard for their causes. College is fun, but only service gives you the great feeling of knowing you’ve helped someone and made a difference.
