Allyson Medina is from Houston, TX and graduated from The University of Texas at Austin in 2008 with a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology and a minor in Government. Mrs. Medina then worked as a Risk Management support and Patient Advocate at Laurel Ridge Treatment Center while completing her Master’s degree in Marriage and Family Therapy from St. Mary’s University. After completing her Master’s degree Mrs. Medina worked in the Outpatient program as a children’s therapist for about a year before relocating to Houston, TX with her husband. In Houston, Allyson continued her career as a child therapist in the inpatient program at another behavioral health hospital for about one and a half years. For the next six years, Allyson moved into a role on the leadership team as the Director of Quality Assurance, Performance Improvement & Compliance. In this role, Allyson assisted with overseeing the QAPI program by developing, preparing and analyzing critical data, and policy management. In 2021, her family made the decision to move back to San Antonio to be closer to family. Allyson and her husband have a daughter who attends St. Anthony’s Catholic School.
