How can I request training for my departments?
The Office of Quality Assurance and Compliance conducts trainings across the University to foster an environment of compliance. If you are interested in a training for your department, contact compliance@uiwtx.edu.
Institutional Policy
What is an Institutional Policy?
Institutional policies are those policies that are institution-wide, required by law, or impact University administration and management.
What is not an Institutional Policy?
Handbooks, guidelines, procedures, academic catalogs and course syllabi are not considered institutional policy. If you have a question as to whether a certain document may be an institutional policy, or require institutional approval, contact the Office of Quality Assurance and Compliance at compliance@uiwtx.edu.
What is the Policy Committee?
The Policy Committee is a committee approved by the Board of Trustees that is charged with considering and approving divisional, departmental, and institutional policies at UIW. The Policy Committee is responsible for submitting institutional policies for approval to the President and Board of Trustees, as applicable, consistent with the University’s Bylaws and operational procedures. All policies approved by the Policy Committee are housed in UIW’s Policy Library.

The UIW Policy Library is available on UIW’s website at https://www.uiw.edu/policy/.
I need to add a policy to the Policy Library, who should I contact?
