Dr. Joan Labay-Marquez is an experienced educator and administrator who brings over 9 years of experience in higher education management, program development, and strategic planning with a strong foundation in promoting diversity and inclusion in faith-based educational settings. Dr. Labay-Marquez is a Fellow of the Texas Bar Foundation, member of the American Bar Association, Texas Bar Association, and a licensed attorney in Texas.

Her scholarly work includes understanding the needs of adult learners and effectively integrating technology for online education. Her research interests focus on the ethical and responsible use of AI and the importance of transparency and accountability to protect privacy and security and promote inclusion.
