Dr. Denise Staudt, Dean of the University of the Incarnate Word’s Dreeben School of Education, is an experienced leader with more than four decades of professional service to the field of education. A leader committed to excellence, social justice, equity and community engagement, Dr. Staudt collaborates with faculty, staff and students to advance the Dreeben School of Education and its goals. 

Dr. Staudt is a nationally recognized leader and advocate for teacher education, having served in the Deans for Impact, American Association of Teacher Educators, the Association for Advancing Quality in Educator Preparation, and A Day of Education Advocacy on the Hill. Dr. Staudt is also recognized for her work at the local and state level in education preparation.

Dr. Staudt is a life-long educator with a passion for excellence in teacher preparation. As a scholar, she focuses on teacher education, teacher training, literacy and leadership.
