Salina was born in New York City and developed a love for arts and culture from an early age. She earned her BFA from Parsons School of Design in 1999. Following 9/11, Salina joined the military to serve her country. After completing her service, she pursued her master’s degree in creative arts therapy at Pratt Institute. Salina is now a Licensed Professional Counselor/Supervisor in Texas, a Board-Certified Art Therapist, and a Certified Clinical Sandtray Therapist-Trainer. Currently, she is working on her doctorate in mind-body medicine.
Specializing in mindfulness, trauma, and managing depression, anxiety, and grief, Salina focuses on supporting military personnel. As a military veteran and spouse, she brings a unique perspective to her practice, blending her skills as a therapist, artist, and nature enthusiast. Salina is an active member of the American Art Therapy Association, the South Texas Art Therapy Association, and the Texas Sandtray Association.
